Andy Willcox begins a Brand New Talking Trade

On the Tools is relaunching their Talking Trade series with a brand new host, a new series, and new topics.

Talking Trade is a weekly Facebook Live show, hosted on the On The Tools channel, that began during the first lockdown: a show by tradespeople, for tradespeople: connecting the industry when they need it the most.

Featuring new trade guests every week (including TV and building legend, Nick Knowles), each episode tackles the real issues which are relevant to tradespeople right now. As the show is live, the On The Tools community interacts with the host and guests, asking questions and sharing their experiences.

Talking Trade gives a voice to the UK construction industry – with no holes barred. Topics previously discussed on the show have included everything from security and supply chain delays, to mental wellbeing and preparing for post-lockdown.

Hosting the Talking Trades relaunch

is your local electrician, Andy Willcox: winner of the West Midlands Top Tradesperson from Screwfix. Andy has been a friend of On The Tools for a while, presenting the ‘Does It Work?’ series.

A new segment that will be included in the updated series is ‘Ask Andy’. Send in your issues, challenges, and questions to our very own ‘Tradie Agony Aunt’ and tune in to the live stream to watch Andy do his best to answer them.

With more engaging and current topics and with brilliant and knowledgeable guests, this interactive series will address the issues affecting the construction industry and bring Tradespeople together.

Chief Content Officer, Adam Barrie, says:

“I’m proud that we took a risk with our live show, ‘Talking Trades.’ We’ve done a lot of work over the past two years to make sure that we create content with a positive, consistent impact.

It’s a serious live stream, talking about the problems within the industry. It doesn’t need prizes or gamification – it’s done so well because it’s so niche.”
