CEO of Electric House, Lee Wilcox, will be joining some of the UK’s most creative thinkers and change-makers in film, TV, games, and other creative content sectors as a member of Create Central.
Launched in 2019, Create Central is an industry body made up of powerful and influential UK creatives, aiming to transform digital content across the West Midlands.
The future of creative content is already here: it’s a world of digital platforms, short-form content, and agile production methods. Birmingham is the youngest city in Europe and the most diverse region outside London; our originality has a proven history and a bright future.
A proud Brummie, Lee is currently using the 0121 podcast, which he co-hosts with Adam Barrie, as a platform to champion Birmingham’s brightest entrepreneurs and influencers, asking the difficult questions about what more we can be doing to support the city.
This announcement comes at an exciting time for Create Central, who has just confirmed a groundbreaking multi-year partnership with the BBC. This will significantly enhance its presence and investment in the region.
Lee Wilcox said about the opportunity:
“Being welcomed onto the board of Create Central is not only a massive honour, but also a brilliant opportunity. I often find that people can be apologetic about being a Brummie, but there’s no reason to be! Birmingham is about to become global like no other UK region in history. I want to be at the front of the queue, celebrating and championing our city as it grows.”
